Salam Yo!
I was searching through twitter to see what people are tweeting about for the blessed month of Ramadan and it was very interesting. I’d thought I share it with all of you to see what your reactions are.
I didn’t put the users names to protect their privacy. If you have something you would like to share, just let me know and I’ll put it up.

Seems like the brands that some Muslims hate always end up doing direct marketing to Muslims.
Both of these campaigns were rolled out in the Middle East.
Attracting Muslim consumers looks very easy, all you have to do is throw a crescent and a star on your product in the month of “Ramadan”.

[UPDATE: Due to alot of controversy surrounding Muhammad Haroon’s disappearance, comments are now closed, Allah (swt) knows best what happened]
I just received some news on this brother who was kidnapped by three armed men in Scarborough on August 22, 2009.
Toronto police say Furqan Muhammad-Haroon, 22, was driving his van in the Midland Avenue and Ellesmere Road area around 3:30 p.m. Saturday when one of three men showed a gun and forced him off the road.
Police found his van but Muhammad-Haroon is still missing.
The license plate on his 2003 Mazda MPV is ASEH 887.
The 22-year-old Toronto resident is described as brown, five-foot-ten, with black eyes, glasses, short wavy black hair, and a beard with no mustache.

May Allah swt make the pilgrimage easy for the hajjis, Ameen!

According to Yahoo,
The threat from the A(H1N1) virus prompted a string of governments to place restrictions on citizens making the pilgrimage to the holy places in Saudi Arabia traditionally made by many Muslims during Ramadan, while financial worries forced many families to cut back on their holiday spending.
In the Saudi cities of Mecca and Medina, which normally do a brisk trade from pilgrims during Ramadan, businesses were braced for their worst holy month in years.
The price for package tours for Saudis from Riyadh to Mecca has been slashed by 25 percent, the English language Saudi Gazette reported.
