Muslim, Jewish communities share worship space

I guess some Muslims who are Anti-Semitic can learn a lesson from this.

On Friday afternoons, the people coming to pray at this building take off their shoes, unfurl rugs to kneel on and pray in Arabic. The ones who come Friday evenings put on yarmulkes, light candles and pray in Hebrew.

The building is a synagogue on a tree-lined street in Northern Virginia, but for the past few weeks - during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan - it has also been doubling daily as a mosque. Synagogue members suggested their building after hearing the Muslim congregation was planning to rent a place for overflow crowds.

“People look to the Jewish-Muslim relationship as conflict,” said All Dulles Area Muslim Society Imam Mohamed Magid, adding it’s usually disputes between the two groups in the Middle East that make news. “Here is a story that shatters the stereotype.”

Holding an Interfaith Program?

Salam,

Today i met with the president of the jewish club his name was steve, not steve jobs from apple, steve keeping it kosher, and another guy named deen representing the christian club, funny his name is deen, because thats the arabicwfeld-g011.jpg word for staying on the right path in islam.

But anyhow’s they told me lets have an interfaith program, i told them no doubt inshallah we can have one, considering jews are our cousins and christians are considered the people of the book. They said ok, now we are searching for a topic to decide what we are going to speak about, finding common ground might be a little complicated but i think we will end up talking about peace.

Shalom i told him as i meeted with steve, Salam he should have said in return, same meaning different ways of saying it, But basically the topic has to be a topic which all religions can unify on and be informative in the program. We decided that we will choose a topic and each club will bring out their book and recite the holy verses and explain the significance of the verse as it relates to the topic. We also agreed that each of us will bring a religious leader, (imam, rabbi, priest) then we can have a pay per view debate, ill get my man zakir naik to rip the mike, just playing.

I have no problem with this but after talking to some brothers they said they don’t know if its a good idea considering that as a result of the three religions coming togetheir explaining their teachings, it will cause confusion and most importantly whats suppose to have emphasis is “Tawhid” and that will be confusing for the general audience. As the christians will come with the trinity, comparing it to an egg, you have the yolk, the shell and the actual egg itself. Chill Yo Islam Yo….keeping it real.

So what should i do, have it, if i see some halal money, should i grab it, chill only halal consumption, no eating haram dunkin donut munchkins, no seriously but i need help on the topic and suggestions, comment below and let me know inshallah….
